Big Bear, CA, March 24, 2016 – The Big Bear Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Big Bear High School, presents the first Community Career Fair hosted at Big Bear High School on Tuesday, May 10, at 5 p.m.
The Community Career Fair is a way to provide hope for individuals living and working in Big Bear Valley. While employers and employees can struggle to find a suitable match, many options exist within a variety of industries right here in the Valley. Representatives of those industries will host information tables at the event with descriptions and requirements of the occupations therein, as well as answer questions. There will also be an opportunity to turn in applications and resumes with some of the participating businesses. The purpose of the Fair is to enlighten the community on an array of careers existing in the Valley. Also, the hope is to inspire the community to seek qualifications to enable them to compete for these positions.
Businesses are encouraged to to attend and take part in what could be a life-changing event for many of the attendees. The registration fee to participate is $20 per booth.
Food and beverages will be served in the High School cafeteria from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by the main event from 6 to 8 p.m. This event is open to the public ages 14 – 75. For more information or to acquire a registration form, contact the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce.
