Big Bear Lake, CA — The Big Bear Chamber of Commerce has two events scheduled for this week, the first of which is the networking mixer to take place Tuesday evening at the Alpine Slide. This mixer is always a popular annual event, as entire families are welcome to participate in activities available, which will include access to the go-karts, putt-putt golf and the alpine slide. The June 8 mixer, which runs from 5 to 7pm at the Alpine Slide on Red Ant Hill, is offered free to Big Bear Chamber of Commerce members and their immediate families, and at a cost of $5 for non-members.
On Friday, June 11, the Chamber hosts an Economic Summit in conjunction with the City of Big Bear Lake. The featured speaker at the morning event will be Brad Kemp of Los Angeles-based Beacon Economics. Mr. Kemp’s talk will address economic conditions and regional economies. Sara Russ, CEO for the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce, says, “We are ecstatic that we were able to secure such an educated and quality keynote speaker for our 2nd annual Economic Summit. Mr. Kemp is very well known, and will provide excellent information to our small businesses to help them in the coming year.” The four-hour summit, which begins at 8am, will also include breakout sessions on technology, hiring, and details on what is happening in Sacramento. The Economic Summit is offered at a cost of just $10 for Chamber members, and $15 for non-members. Attendees to the summit can also, for an additional $15, participate in the Community Honors Luncheon at noon, which will also be held at Northwoods Resort on the 11th.
