Big Bear City, CA, October 8, 2014 – At the most recent Airport District Board meeting, they voted unanimously to accept a donation of the portion of the terminal building currently owned by Evergreen Properties. The donation is approximately 24,000 square feet, which would bring the airport holdings in the terminal building to just under 30,000 square feet.
This means the airport now has ownership and control of all the buildings on it’s property. At this time, the Airport Board has no plans to change the operation of the facility and does not propose changes to any tenant leases in the building. They will immediately review improving the infrastructure and will begin the process of considering options for what to do with the vacant portions of the building including the 16,000 square foot empty restaurant upstairs.
