Big Bear, Ca, February 22, 2011, 4:00pm – During this last snowstorm, Big Bear Mountain Resorts received 24 inches of fresh powder, resulting in perfect mid-winter conditions. “Winter is far from over. You can sense the excitement of riders itching to get on the mountain to enjoy some of the best snow conditions this season,” said Chris Riddle, Director of Marketing for Big Bear Mountain Resorts. “We expect clear skies and cool temperatures throughout the week. We now have a substantial snow pack that will last us well into the Spring.” Now is a great time to take lessons to learn how to ski or snowboard if you don’t already know how. Bear Mountain unveiled Southern California’s only Superpipe last weekend. The 18-feet high, 580-feet long and 65-foot wide competition-class pipe is officially open to all skiers and snowboarders at Big Bear Mountain Resorts. “Now that SocCal’s s only Superpipe is officially open, Bear mountain is the ultimate place to improve your skills – starting with the mini-pipe to the regular pipe and now the Superpipe – you have everything you need to learn the basics or go big like the pros,” said Chris Riddle.
