Big Bear, CA, April 26, 2016 – Big Bear Fire Department will be conducting “Live Fire Training” this week through Friday, April 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Training will take place at the Department’s Paradise training facility located on Grenfall Lane in Big Bear City. Citizens should not be alarmed if they see smoke coming from the area of Paradise Way and E. North Shore Drive.
According to Battalion Chief Ryan Harold, “These simulated conditions provide our firefighters with safe, effective and realistic training, essential in preparing the fire service to achieve our mission of preserving life and property.” Big Bear Fire Department is hosting this training event, and will be joined by other Big Bear Valley cooperating agencies: Cal FIRE, San Bernardino County Fire Department and Running Springs Fire Department.
