BBES Food Product Fundraiser Checks Out OK

The Big Bear Elementary School Bobcat Booster Club has announced that food products delivered in December 2008 through the fundraising outlet, Cherrydale Fundraising, does not contain ingredients from the two companies, King Nut and Peanut Butter Corporation of America. These companies have been linked to the recent salmonella outbreak involving peanut butter and peanut paste. According to a Cherrydale representative, their Fairfield Food company products sold under the name of David’s Cookies, Bittersweet Pastries and Brooklyn Cheesecake contain ingredients that comply with the laws and regulations of the FDA.
