Bed and breakfast regulations for establishments within Big Bear Lake will once again be discussed by the Planning Commission, at tomorrow’s 1:15pm meeting to be held in Hofert Hall. Though the Public Hearing portion of the agenda item closed when last discussed on April 1, city staff has since met with local B&B owners to recommend more changes to be included in the amendment which, per the City’s Director of Building and Planning Jim Miller, “is almost like deregulation, because there are so many little things in our development code that make it harder for B&Bs to do business.” Tomorrow’s Planning Commission meeting will also review a request for subdivision of a 1.4 acre lakefront parcel at 39248 Waterview Drive.
