Big Bear, CA, March 16, 2016 – Every year, Assembly Members select a small business owner in their District to be recognized by the California Small Business Association on California Small Business Day. Assemblyman Jay Obernolte is currently seeking nominations to recognize a small business owner from the 33rd Assembly District for their contributions in the community. He invites residents in the 33rd District to nominate a business who has gone above and beyond to improve and support their community. The nominee that is chosen as Small Business of the Year will be honored in Sacramento with a ceremony and luncheon on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.
Please submit nominations detailing why you think a local business owner should be nominated. Your submission should include: Information about the business’ history in the community. Specific examples of the business owner’s service to the community. Stories about people who were truly helped by the business owner. Details about how the business owner has supported community activities. And any other reasons why the business should be nominated.
All nominees should meet the following criteria: Nominee cannot be a previous recipient. Business must meet the Small Business Administration’s Small Business Guidelines. Nominee must be able to attend the California Small Business Day 2016 event in Sacramento. Business of the nominee must be located in the 33rd Assembly District.
