Big Bear Lake, CA, July 28, 2010, 12:15pm – We have received additional information about the missing person, Jan Heyes of Big Bear Lake. Per Tiffany Swantek, Public Information Officer with the Big Bear Sheriff’s Department, following standard operating procedures, volunteers and deputies are conducing area checks near her home that is off Lowe Street near Boulder Bay. Agencies assisting in the search include detectives, Search and Rescue, Posse members and Citizens on Patrol. If you are in that area, you can expect to see these volunteers conducting the search. Ms. Heyes was last seen on July 18th when she left her home at 8:30pm driving a 2005 black Jeep Grand Cherokee. Her husband reported her missing on July 21st . The license plate number previously reported has now been revised, according to the Sheriff’s Department, and it is 5PZM976. Her car has not yet been located. Ms. Heyes is described as being 5’4” tall, weighing 125 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes. Again, the search for Ms. Heyes near her Big Bear home is following standard operating procedure for missing persons.
