As it is the first Wednesday of the month, there are some regularly scheduled meetings for today (November 4), though the Planning Commission of the City of Big Bear Lake will not be meeting at 1:15pm. As today’s meeting has been canceled, the next meeting of the Planning Commission will be held on Wednesday, November 18.
At 2:30pm this afternoon, the Board of Directors of the Big Bear Airport District convene for their regular meeting in the airport pilots lounge in Big Bear City. This afternoon’s airport meeting will include approval of the employment contract for Pete Gwaltney, the airport’s new General Manager, who joined the airport on Monday.
This evening at 5:15pm, the Board of Trustees for the Bear Valley Unified School District meet for the regular board meeting, which will instead take place at Baldwin Lane Elementary School. Though the school board meeting opens at 5:15pm, Trustees will enter into closed session, with open session scheduled to begin at the elementary, on Baldwin Lane in Sugarloaf, at 6:30pm.
Update: Today’s airport meeting was adjourned due to lack of a quorum, and will be rescheduled. Update as of Thursday: The Airport District Board of Directors will meet on Friday, November 6 at 3pm in the airport pilots lounge.
