AARP Membership Drive & Fundraiser

Big Bear Lake, CA, October 3, 2012, 6am – The local chapter of the AARP will host its Annual Membership Drive and Fundraiser at the Masonic Lodge in Big Bear Lake on Saturday, October 6th. The event will start at 2pm. Five Big Bear Valley residents will be honored for their many years of exceptional community service in various fields. The Honorees are Andrea Cartwright, John Day, Jim Lyons, Nancy Kennedy and Marge McDonald. There will be live smooth jazz music, and the requested donation will be $15 at the door. AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that helps people 50 and over improve the quality of their lives and affect social change. The chapter participates in several charitable and outreach projects to benefit the community.
