Big Bear, CA, March 18, 2016 – The Big Bear Cycling Association announced that it has scheduled the 7th Annual Tour de Big Bear for Saturday, August 6, 2016. For the fourth year, this year’s title sponsor is Remax Big Bear. “Last year’s Tour de Big Bear was a sell out for the sixth consecutive year, with over 1700 riders,” says Craig Smith, president of BBCA. “We are excited to announce a new race addition to this year’s event and continuing to grow our very successful week-long summer cycling festival.”
The first of its kind in the United States, the seven-day Big Bear Cycling Festival brings in thousands of visitors to Big Bear Lake for a few days up to a full week and this year’s Big Bear Cycling Festival has a new, additional title sponsor, Big Bear Vacations.
“The Big Bear Cycling Festival is at the request of riders and we a super excited to have Big Bear Vacations join us as a Title Sponsor,” adds Smith. “Serious amateur cyclists are looking to extend their time riding at altitude and enjoy our beautiful area that has made Big Bear Valley the Cycling Capital of Southern California. The Festival will kick off with the 3rd Annual Big Bear MTB Gran Fondo and Big Bear Grizzly 100, scheduled for July 30, 2016. Free group rides, night mountain bike ride, Cyclefest Youth event, Bicycle Concours, Poker Ride, Recovery Ride and Time Trials and cycling-centric events will be offered throughout the week culminating in the Tour de Big Bear road cycling event, scheduled for Saturday, August 6.
