Woman’s Body Found in Lake Could be Missing Person

Big Bear Lake, CA  January 8, 2015 –  According to Cindy Bachman, Public Information Officer for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the body of a woman was found in the frozen waters of the South Shore area of Big Bear Lake today.  Authorities are in the recovery process awaiting the arrival of the San Bernardino Coroner to identify the body.  Ms. Bachman tells KBHR that “although we don’t want to make any assumptions that the person found is that of the missing person, but, she is the only person who has been reported missing in this area”. Search efforts have been underway for Lisa Cimbaluk of Irvine who was reported missing by her parents on December 29th.  Her car was found near the Woodland Trailhead in Big Bear on January 4th.  Ms. Bachman also stated that the family of Lisa Cimbaluk has been notified of this discovery.
