Big Bear Lake, CA, October 24, 2013 – A Celebration of Life for Sean Jacques is scheduled for Saturday, November 2 at Bear Mountain Resort at 4:30 p.m. Sean passed away October 16 and is survived by his wife, Suzie, his son Anthony and daughter Alexandra as well as his parents, sister, nieces and nephew. Following his wishes, his organs were donated to those in need.
Sean Anthony Jacques was born in Sacramento on April 28, 1967 and moved to Big Bear Lake when he was seven years old. He attended Big Bear Elementary, Big Bear Middle School and Big Bear High School as the class of 1985. Following graduation, he served in the United States Navy for six years as an FC2 (Fire Controlman). Sean then returned to Big Bear Lake to work for Big Bear Mountain Resorts, where he served for 15 years.
In loving memory, his wife dedicates his favorite poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson:
“To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one’s self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived—this is to have succeeded.”
