Big Bear Lake, CA, July 31, 2012, 8:00am – Local 12-year-old Drayden Gardner continues to reach new heights in the sport of snowboarding. Drayden has been chosen as one of only two junior snowboarders invited to participate in the World Heli Challenge in New Zealand. As a Young Gun in the Challenge, he will compete alongside the 30 main event snowboarding and skiing athletes. Drayden’s snowboarding career so far includes a long list of accomplishments including 4th place in the USASA Nationals in Halfpipe, 8th place in the USASA Nationals in Slopestyle, 1st place in the Gatorade Free Flow and many, many more for 2012. Drayden’s main goal is to compete in the most elite board sport contests world wide including all TTR ranked events, X-Games and US Olympics for snowboarding. Already, he has competed in over 200 competitions in both snow and skate. Drayden was recently on KABC TV talking about skateboarding and his trip to New Zealand.
