Get in the swing of the new school year at Big Bear High School PSA’s first fundraiser of the academic year. The whole family is invited to play at Hot Shot Miniature Golf, across from Kmart on Big Bear Blvd., on Wed., Sept. 14 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. All entry fees of $5 per person or $15 per family for a round of miniature golf that afternoon will benefit the BBHS Parents in Support of Academics Booster Club, a non-profit parent-led group committed to improving our children’s educational experience during their high school years.
Proceeds from the event will help purchase a new electronic marquee that will be installed in front of the high school. It will announce important academic, social and sporting events. It also has the potential to raise additional funds for the school and will provide an opportunity in business education for students. The old sign, which no longer had enough letters to complete messages, blew off the building during a snowstorm.
