CATS & Class Act Kidz Present: A Musical Theater Day Camp

CATS, The Community Arts Theater Society, in association with Class Act Kidz, announces a musical theater day camp to take place during the school fall break.  Camp will be held from Monday through Friday, October 10-14 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day.  The Kidz will learn every aspect of putting on a show, including costume and set design.  They will perform a mini- musical for invited friends and family at the close of the session.  Camp will be held on stage in the new CATS Warehouse Theater in Big Bear City.  Space is limited, but open to ages 6 and up thru teens and will be exciting for all those with an interest in acting, singing and dancing on stage.  There is also an opportunity for Kidz to be included in the CATS fall production of A Christmas Carol.  The charge for camp is $149 for the week.  Kidz bring their own sack lunch each day.  Some scholarships are available through the Hummingbird Project by calling 909-584-8642.  Camp directors and staff include accomplished CATS and AMDA instructors.  The Class Act Kidz Foundation, which is based in Calimesa, is produced by Jennifer Gail and David Castagner.  Gail is well known in Big Bear for her starring appearances in CATS in The Fantasticks, The Sound of Music and most recently as Eliza in My Fair Lady.  She is a graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy of New York and Hollywood.    Gail will also be available for private vocal coaching and song presentation.  For Camp info and reservation, call 951-442-6335 or register on line at www.classactkidz.com
