Big Bear, CA, April 11th, 2016 – It’s not too soon to think about the National Ultra Endurance Series coming to Big Bear this summer.
Mountain bikers from around the world will descend upon our Southern Caifornia community on July 30th for the Grizzly 100 NUE Century Challenge and the 7075k NUE Marathon Challenge, offering some of the most demanding single-track, double-track, and fire road climbs and descents you’ll find anywhere.
Participants who love to challenge themselves and others are drawn to this high altitude course at 70008500 feet elevation, and the Radford Climb has made a name for itself as one of the most dreaded 5 mile climbs in Southern California.
The Big Bear MTB Gran Fondo offers sport rides of 20/30/50k rounds out the day’s events. In 2016, Big Bear also welcomes the Ride to Recovery Century Challenge. It’s a veterans program helping to save lives by restoring hope and purpose.
Friendly volunteers, aid stations and lots of local enthusiasm set the tone for the Big Bear Cycling Festival, a week-long series of rides and events.
