Big Bear Lake, CA, October 16, 2013 – The Bear Valley Community Healthcare District has hired a new Human Resources (HR) Manager, Kathy Norris.
Kathy is a certified professional in human resources (PHR) from the Society for Human Resource Managers. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Human Resources Management at Western Governors University. In addition, she went to Sierra College and received her Associates in Marketing and Graphic Design.
Her experience includes conducting strategic planning, providing leadership and teamwork.
Hospital CEO Raymond Hino sai, “Kathy brings with her a wide array of talents and abilities that will broaden not only her job as the HR Manager at Bear Valley Community Hospital but will enhance others with her teamwork approach. Therefore we are pleased to announce Kathy as the new HR manager.”
Kathy is now a full-time resident of of the valley, while pursuing her Masters in Healthcare Administration from Western Governors University. She has been a member of both the Loyalton, CA and the Weaverville, CA Rotary Clubs, and says she looks forward to joining Big Bear Rotary.
About her decision to take this new position, she says, “I decided that BVHCD was the place to be due to Mr. Ray Hino. I have followed Ray’s career through the last few years. He has been such an innovator for rural hospitals and is unlike any other CEO that I have met. He is open and honest with his staff and truly cares. Ray is also known for growing the next generation of hospital administration, which is desperately needed in rural healthcare. I look forward to learning from him and being a part of the BVHCD team that will move our rural hospital into the future.”
