Historical Society Program & Field Trip

Big Bear City, CA, November 1, 2012, 6am - The speaker at the Big Bear Valley Historical Society’s last regular meeting for the 2012 season will be Mr. David DeSoucy. He’s a retired deputy sheriff from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Historical Society and has been extremely active in collecting and preserving the history of the agency. Much of the information has been incorporated into his Images of America publication. The program is open to the public and it’s free. Refreshments will be available after the presentation, which will take place at the Discovery Center on Thursday, November 8 at 7pm. The Historical Society’s field trip on November 9 will be to the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station and the site of the original Big Bear “police station”. The group will then go to the Sheriff’s Department Headquarters in San Bernardino.
