Big Bear, Ca February 14, 2011 6:00 pm – Pat Rowe, teacher at Big Bear High School for thirty years, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2011 after a three-year battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Kieth Rowe, retired county building inspector and family members including her mother, two sisters, and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rowe worked for BVUSD from 1978 to 2008. She taught English, Photo/Graphics, and Journalism and was yearbook advisor for many years. Mrs. Rowe was a certified gemologist and held a private pilot’s license. She had a love of photography, was an avid birder, and traveled extensively with her husband. Services include a viewing and rosary at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Cabot & Sons Funeral Home, 27 Chestnut Street, Pasadena, CA 91103. The funeral is at 10:00 am, Thursday, February17, 2011 at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church 215 Foothill Blvd., La Canada Flintridge, CA 91011, Tel: 818-949-4300.
