San Bernardino County, CA — The November General Election will provide community members opportunity to run for local offices, to serve on the City Council of Big Bear Lake and the Big Bear City Community Services District, as well as the hospital, airport and school boards. For those registered voters considering a run for office, the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters will host four candidate information seminars, which will include specifics on the filing process, preparation of candidate statements, ballot designations and campaign disclosure filings. Though no seminars are scheduled for the mountain communities, they will be offered in surrounding areas: Apple Valley (at Council Chambers, 14955 Dale Evans Parkway) on June 22, Yucca Valley (57090 Twentynine Palms Highway) on June 23, Chino (Inland Empire Utilities Agency, 6075 Kimball Avenue) on June 24, and San Bernardino (Registrar of Voters, 777 E. Rialto Avenue) on June 30. Each of these seminars will be held at 1:30pm, and Candidate’s Handbooks will be available.
