Vehicle Fire Discovered This Morning near Bear Mountain

Big Bear, CA, February 7, 2013 – At 9:48am this morning, SoCal Mountains is reporting the discovery of a vehicle fire in the vicinity of Club View Drive and 2N10 where the US Forest Service was conducting slash/pile burning yesterday just west of Bear Mountain.  The US Forest Service has been requested to respond to the incident.  A command post has been set-up at the Bear Mountain parking lot as of 10am this morning.  Three helicopters are in the search for the occupant of the burning vehicle as footprints were sited exiting the car.  Authorities are not releasing any information about the incident except to say that it is a grand theft auto recovery.  Rumors of a lock down at Baldwin Lane Elementary School have been confirmed by Kbear to be untrue.
