Big Bear Valley, CA — For those with a free evening, there are two meetings that Valley residents may want to consider attending. At 6:30pm today (Tuesday), the Democratic Club of Big Bear Valley holds their monthly meeting, during which time Rick Ollila, director for the Big Bear City Community Services District and just-elected vice chair of BBARWA, will be speaking on CSD’s recently received Water Master Plan. Following Ollila’s presentation, which will also address natural recharge, there will be a Q&A session. The Democratic Club welcomes all residents to this evening’s meeting at the MWD offices, located at 40524 Lakeview Drive in Big Bear Lake.
At 7pm, the Big Bear Valley Historical Society holds their monthly meeting at the Big Bear Discovery Center. This evening’s featured speaker will be Steve Schindler, general manager of the Big Bear Area Regional Wastewater Agency, which is governed by City Council members, CSD directors and a Fawnskin representative. Schindler’s presentation will include the history of BBARWA, as well as the challenges of wastewater management. The 7pm Historical Society meeting at the DC is open to all Valley residents, and will include refreshments and raffle items.
