Big Bear, Ca, June 17, 2011, 12:00pm – The Bear Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees recommended and approved Tina Fulmer, the current Vice Principal at Big Bear High School, to become the new Principal at Big Bear Middle School. Fulmer was one of 48 applicants; of the 48 applicants seven were invited in for interviews, and six applicants accepted the invitation. The interview process consisted of a panel of 10 people, including school administrators, parents and teachers. Fulmer originally started with Bear Valley Unified School District in July of 1999 as a teacher at Big Bear Middle School, in July of 2006, she moved to Big Bear High School as a school counselor, in July of 2008, Fulmer took the position as Vice Principal, and now will return to where she started at Big Bear Middle School in 2011. Tina Fulmer will be replacing Julie Chamberlin as Big Bear Middle School Principal; Mrs. Chamberlin will be relocated back to the classroom. According to the school district final staffing decisions for the entire district are being made during the summer.
