Big Bear Lake, CA – June 25, 2015 – At approximately 8:40 a.m. on 06/23/15, a non-sworn bail bonds fugitive recovery team responded to a residence in the 1400 block of S. Klamath Road in Big Bear City to apprehend Jack Soccio on a bail warrant. Assistance from the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station was requested by the recovery team. Upon contact, Soccio was placed into handcuffs by the bail bonds agents without incident. It was determined that Soccio was renting the house with a female subject, identified as Maryna Gynenska, who was also at the location. As deputies went to clear the residence to make sure no other occupants were inside the house, numerous credit cards, passports and checkbooks displaying names of persons not living at the location were seen in plain sight from the front door of the residence. The residence was secured while Big Bear Detectives obtained a search warrant, which was executed the same day. As a result of the search, additional items including mail, out-of-state identifications, computers and printers, and a skimming device consistent with manufacturing false identifications and duplicating credit cards, were recovered and taken as evidence. Soccio and Gynenska were taken into custody and booked into the Big Bear Jail on felony charges of possession of personal identifying information of 10 or more persons with the intent to commit fraud. Bail is set at $50,000 for each suspect. Suspects Jack Soccio and Maryna Gynenska remain in custody at West Valley Detention Center, pending an arraignment hearing set for today, 06/25/15 at San Bernardino County Superior Court.
