Big Bear Valley, CA — There are four more public meetings being held by local governing agencies in the coming days, the first of which is this afternoon’s Planning Commission meeting for the City of Big Bear Lake. In their 1:15 meeting in Hofert Hall, the Planning Commission led by Chair Anne Zimmerman will consider a request to install a microwave dish and GPS antenna on an existing 75’ monopine at 40629 Lakeview Drive.
At 2:30pm, the Board of Directors for the Big Bear Airport District, overseen by President Jay Obernolte, will conduct their monthly meeting in the airport pilots lounge at the Big Bear City Airport. This afternoon’s agenda items include a board vote on the possible purchase of a CAT 950 loader and an RDM LM 220 snow blower for snow removal operations at the airport.
As previously noted, the Board of Trustees for the Bear Valley Unified School District also meet today; open session is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm at the school district offices on Moonridge Road.
On Thursday afternoon, the Board of Directors for the Big Bear Municipal Water District, the agency which oversees the lake and led by President Paula Fashempour, will meet for their first of two regular meetings in March. The MWD’s 1pm meeting on March 4, at their offices at 40524 Lakeview Drive, will address two items related to the Big Bear Marina dredge project.
Meetings of the Planning Commission, Big Bear Airport District, school district and Municipal Water District are open to the public, and each board allows opportunity for comment from community members.
