Big Bear, CA, July, 9, 2012 – Long time Big Bear resident, Paula Fashempour, passed from cancer this morning at 3:55am at her home surrounded by family and close friends. She was 65 years old. Paula moved to Big Bear in 1973 raising two daughters here. She become the owner and operator of the Little Green House Florist in 1974 running the business with her husband, Ted since 1995. The Little Green House Florist will remain open. Ted Fashempour passed in 2010 from complications of diabetes. Paula was a very active member of our community serving on the Board of Directors of the Municipal Water District since 2007 and in 2010 becoming the first woman to serve as President of the Board. She is a charter and life member of Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley and served as Past President of the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce. A celebration of her life is tentatively scheduled for this Sunday, July 15th. Details of the service will announced on Kbear as they become available.
