Four Valley visitors from Orange County, three men and a woman ages 18 to 21, were arrested at Kmart yesterday afternoon. Per the press release just issued by the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station: “At approximately 3:30pm on December 16, deputies of the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station responded to a call for service for a theft in progress at Kmart. Kmart loss prevention officers and employees had noticed one female and three male adults taking items and putting them into the female’s purse. The four suspects were later identified as Orange County residents Jacqueline Lirette, Christian Crump, David Cota and Dalton Rusler. When Lirette attempted to leave the store without paying for the items, she was approached by a loss prevention officer employed by Kmart and detained after a brief struggle. Upon arrival, Big Bear Sheriff’s Station deputies placed Lirette and the three male suspects into custody. Lirette was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Suspects Lirette, Cota and Rusler were booked into the Big Bear Jail on misdemeanor charges of retail petty theft. Suspect Crump was booked into the Big Bear Jail on a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of a peace officer. All four suspects were released on citations for the misdemeanor charges. Arraignment hearings are scheduled for February 17 at the San Bernardino County Superior Court.”
