Municipal Water District Board to Consider Permit for July Paddlefest, as Well as Software Upgrades, in 1pm Meeting

The Big Bear Paddlefest is scheduled to return to the North Shore on July 11 and 12, pending a special event permit, which is anticipated to be approved during this afternoon’s meeting of the Board of Directors of the Big Bear Municipal Water District. Today’s 1pm meeting of the MWD, to be held at their offices at 40524 Lakeview Drive, will also include consideration of an integrated software program (for the agency’s boat permits, patrol stops and docks) at a cost of less than $15,000. The MWD Board will also consider adoption of a categorical exemption, and subsequent filing, for the sale of surplus district property at Seminole in Fawnskin, the land surrounding Pleasure Point Landing and the sliver fill adjacent to the East Landing.
