Medical Arts Pharmacy Screens For Osteoporosis

Big Bear, Ca, October 21, 2011, 3:00pm – Medical Arts Pharmacy, Big Bear’s Good Neighbor Pharmacy, is hosting a free osteoporosis screening on Monday October 24^th from 10:00am to 5:00pm.  Osteoporosis is the thinning of bone tissue and loss of bone density over time, and affects over 10 million people in the United States.   This will be the third year Medical Arts Pharmacy has held the free screening, and last year they served over 100 women and men.  “Our goal is to help women and men be proactive when it comes to Osteoporosis,” said Gloria Wandel, owner of Medical Arts Pharmacy.  The local Good Neighbor Pharmacy is part of the Osteoporosis Foundation, and will have a licensed technician providing the free screenings.  The screening is free for all, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
