Big Bear, CA, July 22, 2015 – On July 28, 2015, the Big Bear Professional Fire Fighters of Local 935 will be hosting a Blood Drive. Lifestream, your local blood bank, issued a challenge to local fire fighters and police officers to participate in the second annual “Guns and Hoses” blood drive competition. The Big Bear Fire Fighters have taken this challenge seriously and need your help in “outcollecting” the guns and making the hoses number one in Big Bear Valley.
Every summer blood donations do not keep pace with need in local hospitals. Fire Fighters know the value of having the blood at the ready when an emergency occurs, such as trauma, accidents, and burns.
Visit Station 282, located on the corner of Sawmill and Big Bear Blvd. in Big Bear City on July 28 between the hours of 10am and 3pm. It will be a great way to support their efforts in providing the much required blood for those in need.
