Big Bear, Ca, November 18, 2010, 3:00pm – Caltrans and Flatiron Construction Inc. continue to work on the Big Bear Bridge project and will be paving on the east side of the dam. Flatiron will be extending the flagging operations on Friday, November 19th, in order to speed up the project completion. Motorists can use Highway 38, or Northshore Drive, through Fawnskin as a detour. Construction will be on Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Flagging operations will be present along with detour signs; Highway 38 will remain open during work hours. Traffic impacts are expected to be increased to no more than ONE HOUR in order to help the contractor finish the project before the end of the year. Commuter alerts will continue to be updated with new information for the duration of the project.
