Extended Delays at Big Bear Bridge: Consider Alternate Routes

Big Bear, Ca, November 10, 2010, 3:00pm – Delays at the Big Bear Bridge Project will continue during the weekend as Caltrans and Flatiron Construction move towards project completion.  Extended flagging will take place through Saturday November 13^th, with one way traffic, and possible delays of up to 30 minutes at the Big Bear dam, from 7:30am to 4:30pm.  Caltrans states that the extended flagging time is in order to help the contractor finish the project before the winter season begins.  During this time, it is advised to use Highway 38 through Mentone, or Highway 18 through Lucerne Valley, when traveling up and down the mountain.   Caltrans has an automatic notification alert system that you can sign up for by visiting their website at caltrans8.info and by clicking on CT connect.  You can also call them toll free at 866-383-4631.[audio:https://kbhr933.com/wp-content/uploads/SP30219.mp3|titles=Delays at Big Bear Bridge]
