The Board of Commissioners of the Department of Water and Power hold their monthly meeting at 9am Tuesday morning, at the DWP offices at 41972 Garstin Drive in Big Bear Lake. The agenda includes consideration of two projects, those being the Cherokee Well and the Erwin Lake and Metcalf Bay pipeline replacement projects. According to the DWP’s General Manager Joel Dickson, seven DWP projects have been submitted for consideration in economic stimulus package funding, though eligibility is contingent on each project being “shovel ready” before grant monies are awarded. The DWP Board will determine whether or not to fund the pre-requisite engineering on each project so that they might be eligible for additional funds.
