Big Bear, Ca, June 10, 2011, 3:00pm – Doves of Big Bear, the local outreach center for men and women who are victims of domestic violence, invites you to join them tomorrow for “Cruisin to Stop Bruisin” at Community Church by the Lake. There will be 20-30 classic cars from different clubs in the community, three bands will take turns playing music, there will be a large raffle, and great food. The cost to attend this event is $10 and will benefit Doves and their programs, which include a six-month shelter program that helps women to transition from a domestic violence situation to a healthy lifestyle. Since 1982 Doves has been in operation in the Big Bear Valley, and today Doves is celebrating its grand opening of a new outreach center in Crestline, California. According to Adrienne Hungerford, Volunteer Coordinator for Doves “we appreciate any support the community gives us. With the limited funding we are getting from the government, things are getting cut back so we are relying on our wonderful community to support us.” The event will take place tomorrow from 11:00am to 4:00pm at Community Church by the Lake, and all are encouraged to attend.
