The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors meet for their weekly Tuesday meeting today (May 19), and today’s agenda includes a few items specific to the Big Bear Valley. Among those, there are two potential appointees to the CSA 53B commission, which addresses fire and sewer concerns for Fawnskin. The individuals from Fawnskin up for appointment are Dr. Don Eads and James Hoeltgen; County Supervisors had unanimously approved the appointment of Tom Brandau to the CSA 53B comission earlier this month. County Supervisors will also, in this morning’s 10am meeting, consider a lease amendment for San Bernardino County’s animal clinic at 42080 North Shore Drive in Big Bear Lake. This building was constructed by the City in 1984 for use by the County for animal control offices, a medical clinic for animals, and an animal shelter; in exhange for no rent, the County provides animal control services at no cost to the City of Big Bear Lake. Today’s lease amendment would, if approved, extend the term of the agreement between San Bernardino County and the City of Big Bear Lake through September 2014.
