County Supervisors to Consider $2,500 Allocations to Big Bear Chamber’s Economic Summit and Old Miners’ Days Parade; CHP Lieutenant Bradley to Be Recognized in Today’s County Meeting

After adjourning last week’s meeting, which would have been the morning after Memorial Day, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors will convene at 10am today, for the regular meeting to be held in San Bernardino. Today’s County Supervisors meeting will include a resolution recognizing the recent promotion of Lieutenant David Bradley, a Big Bear Lake resident who is now overseeing the Needles area of the California Highway Patrol. In other items specific to the Big Bear area, County Supervisors will determine whether to use funds from the Board Elective Projects budget to contract with the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce to sponsor Thursday’s Economic Summit in the amount of $2,500. A second allocation, also for $2,500, is also under consideration, as a means of supporting the Old Miners’ Association and the annual Old Miners’ Days Parade, scheduled for August 2. Supervisors will also consider the appointment of Leonard Chaidez, to assume the position on the CSA 70 R-5 commission for Sugarloaf roads that has been vacated by Walter Eggett. If appointed, Chaidez will serve the remainder of the term, through January 2010, alongside Sugarloaf Roads Commission appointees Bruce Black, Marge McDonald, Paul Terry and Bob Ybarra, who joined the commission in May.
