Big Bear, Ca, January 10, 2011, 8:00am – Fifteen community meetings have been scheduled across San Bernardino County in an effort to gage citizens on what they want for the future of the county. This Wednesday at 5:30pm, citizens are invited to come to city hall and take part in a conversation about the San Bernardino County Vision. “Residents, business leaders, and everyone else who has a stake in our county’s future will come together this month to create a vision for our county community,” said Board of Supervisors Chairman Gary C. Ovitt. “The goal is to determine what residents want our county to work toward and become.” The Vision Project is a joint effort by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors and San Bernardino Associated Governments, which includes members from each of the county’s 24 cities and towns. Through the end of January, residents are encouraged to take the online survey at www.sbcounty.gov/vision and attend one of the 15 community meetings, where participants will discuss issues facing the county and provide comments. The comments and survey results will be analyzed to create a draft vision that will be presented at the annual City-County Conference in March for finalization.
