City Responding To Flooding In The Valley

Big Bear, Ca, December 20, 2010, 4:00pm – The City of Big Bear Lake has all hands on deck as they help the Big Bear Valley with the large amount of rain we have received.  Currently city crews are working on cleaning drains and culverts to allow water to drain more effectively.  City plows are also pushing water on Big Bear Blvd towards drains to help clear the water out.  City sanitation crews are monitoring creeks to ensure nothing is blocking water flow.  CalTrans has sent crews and trucks to help fix the potholes and flooding on Big Bear Blvd east of City Hall.  The city is also assisting Bear Valley Electric with downed trees at this time.
