Big Bear, Ca, June 14, 2011, 12:00pm – At the June 13th meeting of the Big Bear Lake City Council, the council members adopted balanced city and improvement agency budgets; with the city’s budget expenses being reduced, to reflect the reduction of some revenues. The Improvement Agency budget approved a capital improvement master plan amendment, which included several new capitol improvement projects including the Bartlett Street Parking lot, property acquisition, an outdoor amphitheatre funded through the improvement agency, and utility under grounding on Big Bear Blvd. These improvements will be made possible due to the agency adopting a resolution for tax allocation bonds for improvements in the Big Bear Lake project area, and Moonridge Project area, which will provide 12 million dollars in funding for major capitol improvement projects throughout the city.
