Big Bear Lake, CA, July 28, 2015, 5:00pm -Bear Valley Community Healthcare District has approved leadership transition changes recommended by it’s new management advisory firm, Quorum Health Resources. Donna Nicely, President of the Hospital Board, has announced the resignation of Interim Chief Executive Officer, Randy Simmons and Chief Financial Officer, Wade Sturgeon. “We appreciate the contribution made to our hospital by Mr. Simmons and Mr. Sturgeon and we wish them well in their future endeavors”, said Nicely. “Our Board was concerned about recent management decisions, and with Quorum here, we were able to respond quickly and bring in Quorum executives to make a seamless transition”. As of July 28th, Quorum executive, Barbara Brooks will be on-site providing Quorum oversight to operations. Quorum division Vice President, Bill Donatelli, will install a new Interim CEO, David Faulkner on Monday, August 3rd. On August 5th, Donatelli plans to have options for the Board to select an Interim CFO. The Hospital Board will be closely involved to find the best candidates for this hospital and community. “There is no current time frame for the searches to be completed”, Nicely explained. “Quorum management services provides immediate interim resources to minimize disruption within the hospital while allowing the Board time to choose a CEO and CFO who can meet our needs and fill the significant role executives play in the hospital and the community”.
