BMX Park Gets Approved, To Go Next To Teen Center

Big Bear, Ca, September 14, 2011, 12:00pm – At the September 12^th meeting of the Big Bear Lake City Council, Council authorized the City to enter into a lease agreement with the Recreation and Parks District for use of the City-owned property, so that it could be used for a new BMX Park.  The new BMX park will be coming to the Teen Center, which is located next to Community Church by the Lake at 40946 Big Bear Blvd.  The County Board of Supervisors granted funding to the Big Bear Valley Recreation and Parks District to build the new park, proposed to be built immediately west of the youth center building on property currently owned in part by the Church and in part by the City.  This area is currently used for parking by both the Church and for Veterans’ Park.  The new BMX park will allow teens and adults a place to ride their BMX bikes instead of the skate park.
