Big Bear Lake, Ca, October 11, 2011, 11:30am – Current Mayor of the City of Big Bear Lake, Bill Jahn made a big announcement today. Mayor Jahn, who has served as a councilman for the Big Bear Lake City Council since 2004, announced his candidacy for California’s new 33rd Assembly district seat in 2012. Bill and his wife, Mary Jo are both Southern California Natives, and have lived in Big Bear lake since 1991. “California has huge problems that cannot be solved from the extreme right or extreme left,” said Jahn. “Our leaders need to work together to find common-sense solutions to the issues we face.” Issues Jahn wants to focus on include: rebuilding transportation and infrastructure systems, illegal immigration, the states debt crisis, and jobs. The new 33rd district will include the mountain communities of Crestline, Lake Arrowhead, Running Springs, and the Big Bear Valley. Also included are the desert cities of: Adelanto, Apple Valley, Barstow, Hesperia, Needles, and Victorville. Mayor Jahn’s term on the city council will expire in 2012.
