Big Bear Lake, CA, October 14, 2014 – At the Bear Valley Community Hospital this morning, the Big Bear lake Rotary Club Foundation and the Bear Valley Community Healthcare District Foundation conducted a ribbon cutting and check presentation to commemorate the completion of three hospital rooms.
The Rotary Club raised $30,000 at last year’s first annual Rotary Valentine’s Sweetheart Ball, and were very happy to present a check, along with the BVCHD Foundation, for that amount to Hospital CEO, Ray Hino. The $30,000 check covered the renovation of three hospital rooms at a cost of $10,000 per room.
On Saturday, February 14, 2015, the Big Bear Lake Rotary Club Foundation will host the second annual Sweetheart Ball with hopes of raising enough money to renovate at least two more rooms in 2015, completing the ‘Rotary Wing’ with the proceeds.
