Big Bear City, CA, July 21, 2016 – The Big Bear City Community Services District is having a celebration for the 50th Anniversary of the District. The event will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016, at 5:00 pm at the Big Bear City CSD District office in Big Bear City. There will be equipment, including trash trucks, for public viewing, along with fun, goodies, and treats.
The Big Bear City CSD was formed in 1966. Originally, it was 3 separate agencies; the Big Bear City Sanitation District, the Big Bear City Fire Protection District, and the Big Bear City Street Lighting District. In 1967, the CSD acquired ownership and operation of the water system from the Big Bear City Mutual Service Company. And later, developed and constructed the sewer system.
