The Governing Board of the Big Bear Area Regional Wastewater Agency opted to hold on their board reorganization at their meeting of October 28. In addition to the illness-related absence of Board member Rick Ollila, one of two representatives from the Community Services District, the Board reasoned that, given potential changes to committee assignments for City Council and CSD Board members come December, they would hold the BBARWA reorganization for their January meeting—so, in the interim, Big Bear Lake City Councilmember Liz Harris will remain Chair of the BBARWA Board, CSD’s John Day remains as Vice Chair. Others on the Board, in addition to Ollila, include Mayor Rick Herrick of the Big Bear Lake City Council, and Fawnskin representative Tom Brandau, appointee of Third District County Supervisor Neil Derry. Other action items on last week’s BBARWA agenda were also held; the agency’s capital improvement plan and debt policy will be on the December agenda, while the budget workshop, along with Board reorganization, is scheduled for January 2010.
