BBARWA’s Board of four convened on Wednesday, February 25 for their regular meeting, during which they approved a long-term strategic plan for capital improvements. However, though these projects have been approved in terms of providing direction to the wastewater agency’s staff, these plans are not necessarily going to be implemented. Among those projects is the replacement of the balancing chamber which is sub-par, per General Manager Steve Schindler; though it would cost less to replace at this time, given the economy, BBARWA’s Board may hold on the project, also given the economy. In New Business Items, the BBARWA Board did adopt the rate increase for connection fees, though these are but a fraction of the BBARWA budget, and will not impact general customers of the agency.
