San Bernardino, Ca, August 19, 2010, 7:00am – The Arrive Alive anti-DUI campaign that began on August 1, 2010 is well underway. The Arrowhead office of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) has deployed several additional units to patrol in the mountain area since this campaign begun. The first of many sobriety/driver license checkpoints will be conducted on Saturday, August 21, 2010, in the unincorporated mountain area of San Bernardino County. To those considering mixing alcohol and/or drugs with driving, the CHP will be keeping a close eye out for you. Drivers who are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs can expect to be arrested. The CHP’s goal is to ensure the safe passage of all motorists. A sobriety checkpoint is a proven and effective tool for achieving this goal. The CHP’s message is simple, if you want to “Arrive Alive” then don’t drink and drive.
