Big Bear City, CA, August 26, 2013 – In a press release today issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, an arrest was made in the early morning hours on Saturday in Big Bear City for attempted murder. The incident occurred Friday night, August 23rd, at 11:30pm in the 900 block of West Sherwood Boulevard involving the suspect, Jakeb Hume, 26 years old, of Big Bear City and two victims described only as a white male juvenile and a white adult male both of Big Bear City. Both victims sustained serious injuries, according to Detective King of the Sheriff’s Department, and the suspect, Hume, was arrested just after midnight on Saturday at a location on Big Bear Boulevard and Pineview in Big Bear City and booked into the West Valley Detention Center. The charges brought against Hume includes assault with a deadly weapon, attempted murder and battery. Bail was set at $1,00,00,00. An arraignment hearing is set for Tuesday, August 27th at the San Bernardino Superior Court and the crime is under investigation. Hume was involved in another incident, reported by Kbear, in February 2012 when he was arrested on felony charges of robbery by force after attacking and then stealing the wallet of a snowplow driver in the parking lot of the Big Bear City Post Office.
